The SpkrShell Architectural Series CW1-PRO In-Ceiling Enclosure allows you to easily install select SONOS® speakers like Era 100 Pro PoE, Era 100, ONE, ONE SL or the older PLAY:1, Denon Home 150, & now Bluesound Flex2 & BSP200 PoE! Get a clean professionally installed look for your professional smart speakers. Similar sized wireless streaming powered speakers may also work. Fits in-ceiling, or even in-wall (*requires a 5-1/2" depth). Basically, these will work anywhere you have space in your ceiling/wall and available always-on power, AC or network PoE. Finally, you can use your wireless audio system speakers virtually anywhere with a clean professional installed look!

Our Pro Version improves over our current CW1-DS standard model by adding additional room (depth) and a network junction point. Allowing for support of Sonos & Bluesound brand PRO speakers, as well as Ethernet for hardwired data. And it is PoE power compatible with certified pass-through for the latest PRO series smart speakers that can work with PoE power.

This enclosure includes your option of a Round or Square grilles to best match your décor. The unique design provides a wide flared sound port, ventilation for your speaker, allows the speakers voice feature to still function in most installations, and is completely RF permissive for solid Wi-Fi functionality.

Ready to wire to your homes electrical and/or network system, includes built-in UL listed junction box and a built-in power cord if you need 100-240v power. RJ-45 connector on back connects through over our specialty slim Cat6 jumper to provide network. Just add your compatible wireless speaker!

*Speaker shown for example only, speaker not included with enclosure. If using PoE, this device is PoE pass-through only, it does not provide PoE, your network must supply PoE power and your speaker must be PoE ready to power via PoE.

* REPLACING ONE OF OLDER ENCLOSURES? The new version of our enclosures are slightly larger in diameter and depth compared to our older SL1-S (excluding CW1-R enclosure). So it is possible to remove your old enclosure, enlarge the ceiling hole and install the CW1-DS or CW1-PRO in it's place. Electrical connections are the same. Note that if a SL1 Pre-Drywall bracket was used, it will need to be removed (cut-out) before installing the CW1-DS enclosure.

IMPORTANT

Electrical knowledge needed to install. If you are not sure how to do this please contact a licensed professional for installation. Electrical collar and Junction box are plastic. Wiring should be GFCI or better protected when installed in damp locations.

Temperature and UV Exposure Enclosure is not UV rated; ambient temperature should not exceed 150' F, avoid direct exposure to sun light or radiant heat sources. Do not exceed the recommended operating temperature of your installed speaker, see speaker documentation for details.

Moisture-Resistant (not waterproof) rating applies when installed out of direct weather and water spray, mounted in-ceiling, in a rated ceiling material with junction box and grille properly installed, when used with one of the compatible speakers (Sonos One, Sonos SL, Sonos Play:1, Sonos Era 100, Denon Home 150 ) which are all humidity resistant.

In-Wall Use is possible, provided the wall depth is at least 5-1/2" from the finished surface to the back of the cavity. This product will NOT fit a standard 2x4" wall.

Retrofit Install Ready enclosure is designed for retro-fit installation, simply cut hole, attach electrical connection, and secure mounting dogs.

New Construction Installs Pre-drywall? Purchase one our PCRB Rough-In Brackets separately for an easier installation later.
