Product Warranty Policy

1. WARRANTY COVERAGE & PERIODS Terrapin AV (Terrapin) warrants that Terrapin-branded products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the periods listed below. The warranty period begins on the date of the original invoiced delivery.

  • 12 Months: All Enclosures, Speaker Systems, Amplifiers, and permanently installed hardware.
  • 3 Months: All accessories and replacement parts (including but not limited to protective covers, cabling, power supplies, and grilles).

2. WHO IS COVERED This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It does not cover products purchased second-hand, "As-Is," or from unauthorized resellers.

3. HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE To make a claim, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit a Request: Visit the official Terrapin website and use the contact form to submit a support request. Please include the product make/model and a description of the defect.
  • Note: We require valid proof of purchase (receipt showing model number, price, and date of purchase) and the device’s serial number (if applicable).
  1. Resolution Options:
  • Service Center: You ship the product to our facility (customer is responsible for inbound shipping costs). We will repair or replace the unit and cover the return shipping cost to you.
  • Self-Repair: If applicable and preferred, we may ship necessary replacement parts directly to you at our cost, along with instructions for self-repair.
  1. Replacement: If a repair is not possible, Terrapin will provide an equivalent product of equal or greater value.

4. WHAT IS NOT COVERED (EXCLUSIONS) This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, abuse, negligence, or modification.
  • Damage caused by Acts of God or extreme environmental conditions beyond the product's rated specifications.
  • Third-party products (covered by their original manufacturer’s warranty).

5. RIGHT TO REPAIR (Non-Warranty Parts) We support the Right to Repair for both original and secondary owners. To facilitate this, we make reasonable efforts to maintain and offer for sale replacement parts and repair documentation for our products for up to two (2) years after a product is discontinued. Please note that parts availability and pricing are subject to change without notice.

6. LEGAL LIMITATIONS & DISCLAIMERS

  • DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES: TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE LENGTH OF THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY.
  • LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: IN NO EVENT SHALL TERRAPIN BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST TIME, LABOR COSTS FOR INSTALLATION/REMOVAL, OR LOSS OF USE). TERRAPIN’S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.
  • STATE LAW RIGHTS: Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
  • GOVERNING LAW: This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes arising from this warranty shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
