The Fire & Noise Barrier for in-ceiling loudspeakers, the T-FRSC-L is certified to provide and maintain both a 1-Hour Fire Barrier and up to a 20db Reduction in sound transmission, with an average of 11.5db of reduction overall. Designed for ceiling cut-outs less than about 11" in diameter and devices less than about 7" in height.

With the increasing number of cities imposing tighter restrictions on fire-ratings, it is limiting materials and devices allowed to be installed in some buildings. The FF109-FRSC is a Large 1-Hour fire-rated acoustic dampening back cover, that is Intertek/ETL certified (ASTM E119). And is certified be Sound Research Labs (SRL) as an affective sound barrier material, meeting or exceeding BSI BS EN ISO 140-3 / BS 2750-3 acoustic standards.

This product helps you better meet or exceed the ever changing fire safety requirements when installing our products in ceilings or floors, with easy Retrofit installation capability. The 1 hour fire-rated dome encapsulates your in-ceiling speaker, light, or other enclosure. Perfect for most any ceiling penetrations where certified acoustic control and fire protection are desired. It requires NO additional attachments or sealants.
